ADVANCING SOLID WASTE AS A RESOURCE

ABOUT

We are dedicated to advancing the practice of economical & environmentally sound solid waste management in the State of Alabama.

Graduation Caps

We are pleased to announce that we are offering scholarships to college students and graduating high school seniors. Scholarship(s) will be awarded annually to one or more recipients in amounts not to exceed $5,000 per individual (individual award amounts are based on funds available each year).

Clapping Audience

We are asking members to nominate others for awards recognition. We hope to honor several people with awards at the our annual events: the Fall Forum and Spring Seminar.

Please nominate someone you know who is deserving of peer recognition. Review each award description and turn in your form to the SWANA office by October 15th.

Male Speaker

ADEM requires operators to get 30 CEU hours within a 3 year period. If you attend our Spring Seminar and Fall Forum, each gets you 10 hours. If you ONLY attend the ADEM Course, you get 3 hours. We are always looking for new and exciting topics for our educational seminars. Contact us with your ideas!
